In 1998 I was invited onto the late night talk show host, Art Bell's bizarre radio show, "Coast to Coast". I was to debate the 'strangeness' and delusional railings of this man and his 'data', The Enterprise mission, and you simply have to study the whole thing to grasp what you are dealing with. You will also have to make your own judgment for the 'data' thus presented therein.

I was on air for some 18 minutes, and Mr. Hoagland started right off in that I was some for of ‘Guvmint Spy’ to discredit him in some form of plot.

I began with a true debate format pointing out that his claims that there were German Tanks on Mars, Artificial Glass Cathedrals on the Moon, That there were secret bases on Mars and the Moon, NASA is lying at every turn on data and photos sent back from various unmanned missions to the outer planets, Aliens were being hidden by NASA here on Earth, Meteors were coming and would go down the throat of the main Volcano on Hawaii and kill the world, that NASA was plotting to overthrow our way of life with alien alliances, and so forth.

For a few days I got the UFO crowd, including Hoagland, with this photo real painting of the moon taking it in the side by an incoming bolide.

I had 200 questions for the alleged 4 hours show, to debate Mr. Hoagland. I assailed him with some 5 questions or the 200 I had prepared I had prepared, all proven falsehoods of grand proportions. I got to question number 5 and then informed the esteemed 'guest', Mr. Hoagland, of the Enterprise Mission, that he was a "Pathological liar." This was regarding that a series of aliens were contacting Earth and NASA was hiding this, and these aliens were sending signals from Mars.

Art Bell then cut me off the air.

Bell began his preamble at my introduction that I worked for NASA (false). That I was a highly decorated Navy SEAL (false). That I was a top Ph.D. working in some secret area of NASA (false). That I was a ‘highly placed’ and 'highly credentialed' potentate within NASA hierarchy (false). And that I was a top government spy-spook type insider of amazing information (false). When ask these things of me, I said they were not true nor were they accurate. When I tried to explain this to himself and Hoagland that I had never worked for NASA nor would I, as a civil servant, but only as a free agent contractor, this confused them to no end and then he ask me on air, “how do you get paid then?” I realized I was not dealing with people remotely in touch with reality in any fashion. It went down hill from there after question number 5 to the host’s esteemed favorite guest, Richard Hoagland.

Here we can see the great "researcher" in chubby repose within his 'office' (a tiny one bedroom effeciency apartment on the outskirts of Albuquerque). There, behind him and on the right on the larger monitor is that image of the moon getting hit by a bolide for which he and his most strange webmaster, Mike Bara, were going to flash to the world as some sort of 'exclusive' news item of yet another NASA coverup. That Pesky NASA and its crazy Mason handlers were really hiding the fact the moon had been sundered by an incoming bolide and it was 'hiding' this amazing event from the public by turning on the huge motors on the moon that generate a hologram so that folks on Earth would still see the moon in place.

Indeed.

Imagine this sort of insanity and Art Bell thinks this clown is the greatest 'scientist' in the world. Incredible!

Too, Art Bell, and Richard Hoagland both, especially so previewing the latter’s site in the link above, chronically hate and despise NASA to the core, regardless of the fact it is one of the greatest things this country is engaged in, failures and triumphs and all. These two have a groundless vendetta against anything and everything that is NASA beyond the pale of anything remotely sound, let alone logical. It is hard to fathom these two are even fellow Americans, holding American citizenship, since their demented diatribes are far far beyond just normal dissent against a government agency. My defense of NASA and what NASA is and does, rankled these too even further. Everything is a conspiracy of dark order to these two as well as the entire demented online cult of Ufology. The whole 'church' and its dogma is engaged with all things of death, conspiracy, evil, bad, failure, and everything and anything government related is out to kill its citizens, including NASA, or some other dark and sinister motive. Utterly tragic, this.

Then of recent, there has now occurred public dissent in the professional circles such as Philip Plait’s excellent dissertation against the most recent outlandish non-science based claims of Hoagland. His website is here:

Plait points out that the claims of Hoagland and these types exploit the unsuspecting into believing what Hoagland wishes one to think, rather than espousing critical thinking on the part of the receiver of such disinformation.

In addition, there is the obvious silliness that is beyond logic that is Hoagland garners his so called ‘data,‘ from NASA and its endeavors, all sources, both manned and unmanned including reports and photos and anything and everything available. His webmaster, another clever ruse in deception, actually changes NASA photos without permission and then posts these falsified data as the ‘real facts’ that Hoagland has ‘discovered’. Thus, Hoagland is using the very data that he claims is a lie and false, to then promote his own agenda, and therefore, if so, at the outset, this makes Hoagland a liar and false claimer right along with that pesky NASA & Co. Yet, few deduct this immutable fact of gross conundrum.

Of recent now on the Enterprise Mission site is the out and out claims of stoves, machine parts, mile long worms, and other artificial medium found all over the Mar’s surface by both rovers, Spirit and Opportunity. That NASA is again covering these ‘facts’ up to deceive the American public. These obvious claims are simply false. It is Hoagland who is lying and attempting to deceive the audience into thinking he has the real ‘drop’ on the facts. It is Techno Terrorism at its worst, a highjacking of fact, for a sensationalized comic book type of gross fiction, at the expense of real endeavor and accomplishment by NASA and its legions of devoted people who do, in fact, engage in real science for vocation.

This is utterly wrong in any venue. And borderlines on true fraud as well as defamation. It is also a form of theft of discovered achievement by others of a much higher calling that Hoagland.

The Public Assault On Truth and Robert A.M. Stephens

I was booted off the air at that point. Much to my delight, I figured that was the end of it. Professionally, the last thing one would ever want is to be accepted by this cult, this dark church online called Ufology.

I thought that was the end of it.

Hardly. He was not done yet. This psychopathic Bell is noted for publicly stating he, ³likes to destroy people when they cross me until there is nothing left.² Or, ³I like to drive someone from their home and neighborhood and completely destroy them.² And sometimes he resorts to, ³sometimes it is time to roll up ones sleeves and slit some throats.²

In fact, here are quoted statements, from Bell, publicly, in his books and other propaganda, for which he has claimed on air he is most proud of:

"I love revenge"

"Sometimes you have to just Slit Some Throats"

"I am vengeance"

"I'm the type of person who moves next to someone and forces them out of town"

"I'm the type of person who takes a gun to a knife fight"

Charming.

I was not aware of this dark wonder, since before he called the ranch house to invite me to come on his show, I had never heard of him

With that mental baggage engaged by this lifeform above so listed and quoted, the true assault began against me.

First, with several million night time listeners of quite questionable mental prowess, he began the cult mantra as any Pope does to instill hatred within his church and followers; he began systematically degrading and attacking me on air with untold lies and allegations too numerous to count. You can preview his handy work with his cultist followers by typing my name into any search engine on the internet. What comes up is the epitome of Ufology, Art Bell, and patent falsehoods of most litigatibale proportions, regardless of who the targeted victim is. These are anonymous postings at now defunct BBS boards, websites that are now gone, and other formats and venues, all 5 to 6 years old now, whereby you¹ll see I beat my epileptic wife, claimed on his show no less, that I was a Navy SEAL, that I had never worked as a documentation contractor for NASA, that I was ³a low life bottom feeder, preying on innocent victims², and on and on, ad infinitum.

Not getting satisfaction with that, doing this over and over, on air, night after night, Bell then began having various Œguests¹ on to verify these false and criminal claims against me. I had ask him in e-mail exchanges to desist. He continued.

I then warned him I would simply hold a mirror up to himself exaclty as he was doing to me, with a new website. He responded with, "Sure, give it your best shot".

I did.

So, at this point, I retorted with a website I built one evening in tribute to him and Ufology, et. al. It was a raucous, hilarious outlier of an online mental institution called, ³Shady Pines R & R² , ³for the mentally disturbed of Ufology². It was popular. Too popular. I updated it daily and it began to get more hits than even Bell¹s own oddball site was getting from his own cult followers. This really angered Bell.

Bell then began stalking me and the "Shady Pines" web site all over the net. He would threaten the ISP host of each location with lawsuits, and get the offending site pulled off the net. Numerous ISPs all over the country were victims of this violation of 2nd amendment right, and in Montana too, over a few weeks. He was relentless.

I continued also, unabated, with updates and warnings and documenting the antics of this demented and most troubled soul of late night.

He saw he was failing and even his own strange followers were beginning to doubt him. Asking and wondering why he was attacking me with such venom. This was too much for him. He then decided to play the infamous and so typical "Im¹a Victim" card, through some very fine lawyer types in LA. Yacht chasers, actually. He filed suit and went public, for $60,000,000 against me and a competing radio talk show host he also did not like, a once frequent guest on his show also, David John Oates.

Papers were served on me and away it all went. I got some lawyer friends in Great Falls Montana into the loop and began a systemic defense strategy that would not counter directly, but rather, since the suit was basically a fraud, a delusional violation of free speech, and an abuse of the legal system, we then went after the legal venue of filing a suit of this nature, and using the courts for personal vendettas. This method worked.

We laid low and let Bell and his lawyers continue to defame. They did so on ŒGood Morning America¹, and other national public venues.

This freak is so low based in nature he even had his lawyers hire investigators to come to areas of Montana and actually attempt to pay off subjects they had targeted that may defame me under perjury for money.

To show the absolute dementia of this man, he even had the FBI get involved. They, of course, found nothing.

All the while he continued his assault, having his demented minion of an ISP provider, Rowland Networks, attempt to hack and Œpacket bomb¹ my computer. He¹d lose every time, but it was interesting to note the total strangeness of Art Bell, and his minions and servants.

Finally, Bell gave up. The courts dismissed everything on the issues of, ³Abuse of Judiciary², ³Abuse of Prosecution², and finally, ³False Accusation of Personal Defamation². The Œcase¹ was thrown out in all three courts, in all three states it had been filed in.

So, I won and so did David Oates.

Art Bell is an unmitigated psychopath. There are legions of them out there online, but within Ufology and its dark minions, the rate is running at about 100%.

Beware then.

And when you read those anonymous e-mails about me, BBS postings with no names, and the digital SEALs disclaimers too, all from six or more years ago, keep in mind it is all false. Categorically patently false!

Counter defamation takes a lot of time, especially so on this medium. But, slowly, the assailing is being dealt with by a number of different methods, legally and otherwise.

And in the end, I am and remain, Robert A.M. Stephens.
